So this A.M. was beautiful in good ol' Texas, so we decided to take advantage of it. We hopped in the stroller and headed for the park(one of the things I miss the most about Cali weather!) Only there was a empty space in my triple jogger! ;( Sad! Our little Aaliyah is at school now! So sad! We miss her so! It was on of those moments where I seriously could have sat on the stroller and balled my eyes out! Wasn't it just yesterday that Tre, Aaliyah, and Jaylin all rode in this thing and I got such a great workout with all three of their little bodies in there. I was missing their little voices, their little legs sticking out the stroller, our songs, our conversations about God's creation and the beauty of all that He makes! I was missing, missing, missing those moments! However...
what saved me from a tear pouring morning was that there were still four little legs to adore, one little voice, a few coo's, and God's creation to admire! I felt I truly took in this morning! I stopped to really listen and notice and be absorbing the moment for all that it was, because I knew soon it would be only a memory! Life is hard like that at times, and yet it's beautiful when you know and love Jesus! There is hope; because eternity is forever! You never have to worry about moments fleeting and life ending! It's forever! No sadness! All Newness! All Joy! All Praise! Now that is Hope!
So with each day I want to Praise!
Thank you Lord for fresh air, eyes to see, legs to run, lungs to breathe, ears to hear little voices, arms to hold and push my kids on the swing and laughter to enjoy their smile and the personality that was divinely given to them by YOU! Lord you are truly worthy of all praise! Thank you Jesus for the reminder that there is much joy in the little moments of life!
Today I took a couple of pictures and then put my phone away and played with my kids. Jaylin and I pretended to be on a ship and she was captain Jaylin! We walked planks, raced down the deck, and scurried through tunnels. Oh and got sea sick on the swings! It was so much fun, and her little eyes were full of wonder and excitement at our adventure together! We even both cracked up laughing as we tried to race down two slides side by side and I (with Jaydn on my lap) got stuck half way down and Jaylin said, "Mommy what's wrong? You stuck?" I just sat there, laughed and said, "Yep, mommy doesn't slide as fast as you, Captain Jaylin!" We laughed and and played on!
While I missed my two older babies, the Park with 2 was sweet today! I am so thankful that I had this day with my youngest two!
Even if it's a walk to the park, a quick walk from your car into the school to get your kids, or a stroll through the neighborhood... Encourage your children to walk, run, play in the fresh air! Vitamin D does wonders for you both (all)!
~How about you? How do you capture time? Enjoy the moment?~
